In this role you will work with subject matter experts, and develop digital products and multimedia content. You will develop objectives, rewrite and reshape content, review peer content, and develop assessments. As an Instructional Designer this role works with the Product Manager(s), Project Manager, authors, and graphics/media team, and/or other team members to create self-guided online learning modules and supporting materials for teachers and leaders in education. The instructional designer follows effective instructional design principles, and will use strong interpersonal, written, and visual communication skills to bring together text, images, video and audio to communicate and educate our clients employees, members, customers, and other stakeholders.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIESWrite learning objectives.Set instructional goals and create content that matches themDetermine the scope of educational projects.Create the layout of the instructional materialVisualize instructional graphics, the user interface and the finished product.Design learning experiences that reflect the needs of the target audience.Work with subject matter experts to ensure proper content and scope.Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content.Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process.Summarizing content from articles, texts, and videos, determining critical content from ancillary content, provide connection to the experiences of in-service and preservice educators.Reshape content for changing needs.Write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts and video scripts.Develop materials/multimedia aids (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc.) and test them.Devise assessments, such as tests or quizzes, to measure learning.Develop entire courses and curriculum for f2f, synchronous, and asynchronous delivery.Create facilitator guides and training materials.Work with Product Managers to create documentation for digital products.Analyze and apply trends and best practices in learning technologies and instructional design.Ensure all development milestones and timelines are met and reports weekly on progress.WHAT MATTERS TO USA bachelor s degree in instructional design, education, English, journalism, or a related field is required.A master s degree is strongly preferred.Knowledge of instructional design and effective pedagogy for adult learners.Knowledge of effective online learning and mobile strategies that incorporate multiple forms of media and increase engagement.Familiarity with project management and the project development lifecycle, including product conceptualization and development, template and protocol fidelity, and quality assurance standards.Awareness of K12 education trends and the needs of practicing educators.Strong self-management skills, including the ability to work on multiple projects with competing priorities while meeting project milestones and aggressive deadlines.Imagine new and innovative methods of instruction that engage adult learners.Working knowledge of the current on-line authoring platforms, including Articulate and Captivate. Strong interpersonal skills to negotiate complex editorial issues with subject-matter experts and other team members.Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, and proficient use of technology.All of our FT positions are eligible for benefits, Paid leave and more.
