All religious, medical, or other legally recognized exemptions regarding vaccination status will be considered.Job SummaryThe Assistant Director of Patient Observation is responsible for the effective leadership of Patient Observation services which includes the successful management of supervisors, finances, client relations, patient and customer satisfaction, program quality standards, performance improvement, and personnel performance and productivity. The Assistant Director will also be responsible for the overall planning, organizing, directing and controlling of Patient Observation and Hospital activities.Key Responsibilities:Responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of financial data and statisticsDevelops and recommends department operating budgetCoordinates transportation activities and services with other hospital departmentsMaintains records and statistics for administrative and regulatory purposesPlans, organizes, directs, coordinates, and supervises functions and activities of the departmentEstablishes work standards and work flowEstablishes and implements policies and procedures for departmental operationsDemonstrates good communication skills with clientsEnsures compliance with all regulatory agenciesProactive in the achievement of the facility goals and objectivesDemonstrates proficiency with financial and patient transport software (internal software are TeamChimes, and TeamTransport)Management of patient observation add-on services such as, but not limited to; patient transport, lift, courier, valet or shuttle, where applicable.Preferred Qualifications:Four year college degree or equal related experience requiredPrevious hospital patient transportation experience is preferredSupervision of staff employees requiredAbility to analyze and interpret financial and other dataGeneral intuition for businessExcellent interpersonal skills.
