The Environmental Health + Safety (EHS) Manager identifies existing and predictable hazards on large project sites and takes corrective measures to eliminate risk from the project sites.
Here's what you get to do:
Perform routine walk-through inspections of construction areas on small to medium sized projects independently, and large to complex projects with some assistance
Responsible for the creation and distribution of Site EHS Audits to project team and subcontractors
Provide leadership and direction to project prestart safety review with project team
Lead high hazard trade safety preconstruction meetings on projects
Responsible for the completion of Monthly Project EHS Assessment
Act as primary resource for safety related issues for project teams
Responsible for OSHA Inspection process
Conducts personal injury and property damage accident investigations; compile data, photographs, and other necessary documentation for reporting purposes; prepare all pertinent forms and reports per program procedures and federal, state, and local regulations associated with accidents
Partner with subcontractors to develop overall satisfactory level of safety compliance on jobsites
Here's who you are: (required)
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health + Safety Sciences or related field
A minimum of five (5) years hands on experience in Construction
Safety Trained Supervisor Certification, or equivalent
Construction Health and Safety Technician Certification, or equivalent
Current First Aid, CPR and AED certification
Completed OSHA 500 Instructor Course
Ability to effectively communicate ideas to employees, subcontractors and clients
