Key Responsibilities:


Legal Advocacy:

Advocate on behalf of clients in workers' compensation cases, ensuring effective representation.

Prepare legal documents, including correspondence, pleadings, and court submissions, with precision and attention to detail.

Conduct thorough case analysis, including depositions and cross-examinations, to build strong legal arguments.

Negotiate settlements and handle lien claims to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.

Case Management:

Manage case calendars and deadlines efficiently, ensuring timely resolution and client satisfaction.

Maintain accurate case records and billing entries for comprehensive case management.

Utilize legal software and tools for effective organization and communication within the team.

Client Engagement and Team Collaboration:

Establish and maintain professional relationships with clients, colleagues, and industry stakeholders.

Collaborate with legal assistants and support staff to streamline workflows and enhance productivity.

Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members to foster professional development.

Continuous Learning and Professional Development:

Stay updated on developments in workers' compensation law and related fields through ongoing training and education.

Participate in firm-sponsored seminars, workshops, and networking events to expand legal knowledge and skills.


Requirements:

California Bar license is mandatory.

Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of demonstrated experience in workers' compensation law.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong organizational and time management abilities.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.


Bonus Program:

Eligibility based on billed hours exceeding 690 per quarter.

Bonus payments within 30 days following the end of each quarter.

Rates increase for hours billed beyond 810.


Location and Compensation:

All candidates MUST reside in California.

Position is about 90% remote, with occasional in-person trial appearances.

Competitive pay range from $100k to $210k, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
