Training Supervisor

Schedule: current open shifts Sat-Mon 5am start, Sat-Sun 5pm-5am, Tues-Fri 9am-9apm, Tues-Fri 7:30pm-5:30am

Job Description

Develop, administer, and conduct training and safety programs and activities for associates and ensure all processes are documented to meet company, regulatory, ISO and corporate requirements.

  • technical writing resources to ensure accurate Work Instructions are developed and maintained for all processes
  • associates are trained on individual job functions and training is documented
  • all regulatory and customer safety requirements are incorporated into company policies and associates are appropriately trained
  • and conduct initial new associate and refresher programs to ensure all company, customer, and regulatory requirements are met
  • coordinate, and/or conduct job-specific and process training programs to ensure associates are trained on their job functions
  • and direct writing assignments of Technical Writers assigned to document processes
  • site-level Trainers and Technical Writers by conducting Train-the-Trainer and Train-the-Writer classes as well as providing continuous coaching and mentoring
  • Site Safety Program including development of safety procedures, auditing for compliance, and advising management staff of safety concerns
  • advisory capacity to Site Safety Committee to identify safety concerns and provide recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Training/Writing staffing needs, interview candidates, and develop staff members to ensure an effective team and training and documentation needs are met
  • and/or conduct corporate sponsored training programs for site personnel
  • system processes in manual
  • procedure development and ensure document control standards are in place and maintained to support ISO and Management of Change Systems
  • closely with Customer Representatives, Operations, Inventory Control, and Customer Service to ensure processes are accurate, documented, and changes are made and communicated in accordance with local Management of Change Systems
  • flexible training schedules to meet special requests and business requirements
  • on Quest Workshops as requested to improve productivity and resolve process issues
  • other duties as assigned


Required Education and Experience

  • Degree or equivalent work experience, preferred
  • years logistics or manufacturing industry, preferred
  • years experience in lead, supervisor or management role, required
