About the job:Our Nurse Managers serve as unit-level leaders that plan, organize, staff, direct, and ensure collaborative multidisciplinary patient care delivery. The Nurse Manager provides coaching, direction, and supervision of their assigned unit(s) and all staff members.This position is based at our flagship hospital and referral center for the Health System, Mount Carmel East (MCE), which is in the midst of an ongoing modernization that will result in an all-private, 381-bed campus to provide the healthcare of tomorrow. With our new 5-story tower, Level II trauma care, and a comprehensive stroke program, MCE brings comfort, confidence and advanced care to Columbus' east side communities.What you will do:Direct the planning and implementation of department education/training to promote professional competence/growth and ensure optimal patient care.Ensure financial performance and profitability through the development and monitoring of the operating and capital budgets for designated areas/units.Direct all quality monitoring for designated areas, focusing on optimal patient outcomes, regulatory compliance, risk management, and continuous quality and process improvement program for unit services.Develop departmental standards, policies, procedures, guidelines and protocols. Maintains awareness of department/service area operations and potential for problems through regular rounding and interaction wit colleagues, leaders, and patients.What we are looking for:Graduate from school of nursing; Bachelor of Science in nursing required.Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of OhioMinimum of two years' recent and relevant clinical experienceDemonstrates the ability to asses, develop and mentor a patient care teamMount Carmel and all its affiliates are proud to be equal opportunity employers.
