Oven Operator Job Description

ROLE PURPOSE

The Oven operator plays a critical role in delivering the Timber experience to our guests. The Oven operator ensures all pizzas and food items are cooked to perfection and in a timely fashion. This is accomplished through a strong knowledge of proper cooking technique and the ability to work with a high level of precision and speed in a fast-paced environment.

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Arrives for shift on time and in proper work attire.

• Completes Opening Checklist to ensure Oven and work area is properly stocked, organized, and clean for service.

• Cooks pizzas and empanadas according to Timber spec.

• Preps Oven to proper temperature prior to service, and maintains at proper temperature throughout the shift.

• Provides feedback to Pizza Line about pizza size, toppings and quality of the stretching. Sends back pizzas that do not meet Timber spec.

• Works directly with Expo to prioritize orders and manage cooking times.

• Keeps work area stocked, organized, and clean throughout the shift.

• Actively communicates with team members throughout the shift to ensure a seamless guest experience.

• Actively assists team members when required.

• Adheres to Timber food safety & sanitation standards throughout the shift.

• Completes Closing Checklist to ensure Oven and work area is properly shut down at end of service.

• May complete deep cleaning tasks, per schedule

• May complete other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to pass the 10 year federal background check at the airport

• Enjoys hospitality and serving others.

• High energy and stamina. Able to work in a fast-paced environment and within a small working space.

• Well adept at multi-tasking.

• High attention to detail.

• Able to work calmly and effectively under pressure.

• Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

• Able to stand and walk for up to 10 hours per day.

• Able to work flexible shifts and schedules, inclusive of weekends, and some holidays.

• Able to perform essential functions to company standards with reasonable accommodation.

• Able to communicate effectively in the primary language of the work location.
