Metrea Management provides central services to 12 global business units via Operations, Solutions, Strategy, Legal, and Finance teams.Position SummaryThis test engineer position will be responsible for project schedules and estimates, requirements definition and analysis, requirements traceability, requirements validation and verification, and risk management. There will be opportunities in this role to lead and take responsibility and ownership of the testing phase of a project which is developing cutting edge technologies in the government space.Essential Functions StatementsMust have the ability to design, oversee, and perform software testing on various applications. Must have experience with software development and various software development lifecycle models. Must have excellent documentation skills as well as outstanding interpersonal skills with a customer service mentality.Competency StatementsAbility to work as part of a team environment.Ability to work independently and explore options.Supervisory ResponsibilityThis role has no supervisory responsibilities.Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.Physical DemandsThis is a largely sedentary role; however, some physical abilities may be required.Position Type and Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position with typical working hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours and work shifts may change in accordance with department and business needs. Exempt Employees must have the ability to be on-call and available, as business needs require. Non-Exempt employees may be required to work over 40 hours per week with approval from the department manager.Facility Location:Annapolis Junction, MarylandTravelTravel requirements are N/ARequired EducationBachelor's degree in Math, Science, Engineering, Statistics, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
