Skill Level: 10+ years of experience with designing software, applications, and systems-based information communication technology solutions

Location: CACG/ Remote site with travel to government sites as required while supporting assigned duties.

Description

This role shall support CACG s efforts in enhancing the requirements and analysis methods that are required to mature the systems engineering practices that are employed by NBIS. The resource shall be expected to work independently as well as under the auspices of team or program leads.

Duties Include

• Responsible for driving multiple customer solution design projects in parallel; conducting business and technical discovery or requirements elicitation with stakeholders; defining innovative solutions, architectures and use cases to help customers meet their objectives; providing robust recommendations for engagements while also identifying critical dependencies and gaps.

• Presents solution proposals to customer representatives in a concise and compelling way; has a balance of business and technology acumen, including ability to articulate high- level technical solutions to business problems and to tie solutions to program success criteria. Capable of independently applying a wide set of architectural and engineering disciplines for planning, design, analysis, coding, testing, release/deploy and sustainment of information systems architectures.

• Responsible for the designing of interface standards, quality assurance standards, performance standards, and cost-benefit analysis of modem state-of-the art information systems; analyzing available technologies and making recommendations of technologies to use and how best to use them.

• Responsible for updating and maintaining the Systems Engineering Plan (SEP) in coordination with the Chief Engineer and other Program stakeholders. Duties will also include supporting the ongoing development and maintenance of the Program s IT Capability Portfolio Roadmap in collaboration with the Chief Engineer and other stakeholders.

• Lead or participates in the Requirements Management, Product Increment (PI) Planning, Engineering Review Board (ERB), Change and Configuration Review Boards (CCB), and other technical working groups as directed. Document and configure automation and orchestration scripts in accordance with DoD Security Technical Implementation Guidance (STIG).

Desired Skills

• Significant experience with solution architecture and software engineering, particularly in software or systems integration, SaaS, IaaS, PaaS implementation, cloud, infrastructure, data architecture, and cybersecurity

• Significant experience utilizing a variety of development and delivery methodologies (waterfall, Agile, DevOps) over the full lifecycle of a project engagement

• Ability to analyze business needs, research possible solutions, and define solution implementation approach

• Ability to develop architecture diagrams, presentations, technical proposals, analysis of alternatives and supporting documentation.

• Experience with Amazon AWS

• Knowledge of DoD FedRAMP process, cybersecurity and all phases of the Federal Risk Assessment and DoD Risk Management Framework

• Full lifecycle solutions architecture experience designing, testing building, and implementing systems of varying complexity within DoD environments

• Knowledge of DoD processes that are required for the production implementation of accredited systems

• Experience with DevOps methods and automation tools

• Experience with development methodologies, including COTS analysis and selection

• Experience with designing cloud-ready, independent applications and systems using open source products

• Experience conducting technology evaluations and studies, including supporting the market research requirements to drive an acquisition decision

• Knowledge of the DoD acquisition lifecycle

• Experience working with the DISA Ecosystem Data Centers on full lifecycle implementations

• Experience with cloud security practices, principles, and monitoring technologies

• Experience with cloud infrastructure monitoring and management technologies

• Experience with Enterprise Architecture and related implementation practices and tools

• Experience with the DoD Architectural Framework or alternative/ equivalent architectural framework

• Knowledge of data architecture, database design, and interface development

• Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

• Possession of excellent client interfacing skills, conversant with evaluating complex technology implementations and positioning feedback in terms of business impact or outcomes
