TAP is seeking to hire a Senior Electronics Engineer to join our team! If you are a highly motivated engineer who enjoys a challenging and dynamic environment where your contributions are both critical and valued, this company will provide you with the tools and opportunity to thrive.
The Senior Electronics Engineer will provide support for vehicle hardware and software technique development and operational deployment. The ideal candidate will have a vehicle-centric understanding of automotive computer networks and operating systems, as well as vehicle power systems and wiring. Additionally, the Senior Electronics Engineer will provide training in audio collection and GPS tracking as it applies to law enforcement.
Required Qualifications:
Active TS (with SCI eligibility)
BS in Engineering
12+ years of experience in the design and/or implementation of GPS tracking and/or Audio collection fields, including providing instructor level training.
Experience with egress technologies such as WiFi, Cellular, Bluetooth, and RF as it pertains to GPS tracking and Audio collection.
Ability to develop training material within Audio/GPS disciplines.
Ability to read and create schematics for customer electronics.
Extensive understanding of automotive grade electronic systems.
Experience soldering surface mount components.
Ability to create and follow test plans for analyzing COTS and GOTS electronic systems.
Technical writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Desired Qualifications:
MS in Engineering
Knowledge of system frameworks including .NET, Git, AngularJS, and GitHub
**This position is contingent upon the successful completion of security processing and favorable acceptance onto the program by the Customer.**
Clearance Requirement: This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance, based on current background investigation (SBI), as well as the favorable completion of a CI polygraph. Clearance and polygraph processing will be completed by the U.S. Government. Factors considered for a U.S. Government Security Clearance include, but are not limited to:
