Plans and manages the general health, safety, and loss control policies and procedures for the organization. This role will focus on projects in the Baltimore - DC area.Responsibilities/Functions:Assists with implementation of safe work practices as part of

all employees to the

project personnel to ensure an open line communication for effective safety management and engagement of personnelConducts comprehensive on-site safety assessments as part of

Site Specific Health and Safety

assignments , as neededEssential skills and experience:4 year occupational safety/health degree

or equivalent combinations of training and related experienceA minimum of

5 years construction safety experience (highway/civil preferred)Thorough understanding of and ability to enforce all federal, state, local, and Company regulationsAbility to recognize hazardous situations and implement corrective measuresExcellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skillsAbility to train and educate others; train the trainer courses a plusOSHA

:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch; and see and hear well (either naturally or with correction), stand; walk, (stand for long periods of time) handle, or feel; use arms and hands to reach for, handle and manipulate objects. The employee must frequently work or walk on uneven ground and is required to wear steel toed boots at all times. It is mandatory that the employee wear approved personal protective equipment.
