GED Science Teacher

Salary Range: $50-70,000 (depending on education and experience)
Reports To: Director of Academics
Language: Bilingual (English and Spanish), preferred
The LAYC Career Academy is seeking a GED Science Teacher to play a pivotal role in educating older youth aged 16-30 focusing on GED science topics including earth, space, and physical science. This full-time position requires an experienced teacher with the ability to tailor lessons for a variety of learning needs including those with ELL and SPED requirements. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree, at least 2 years of relevant teaching experience, and bilingual abilities in English and Spanish.

The GED Science Teacher will be a member of the academic team and reports to the Director of Academics. This person will also work closely with students, staff, and the broader community on a daily basis. As over 50% of our school population identifies as Latine or Hispanic, this person must be able to effectively communicate in both English and Spanish.
