Job description

**THIS IS A CONTRACT POSITION**


The position may engage in a variety of interactions with managers and employees. They will provide tactical support to management by communicating Company policy, facilitating administrative processes, assisting employees with interpersonal relations issues, and helping managers utilize available programs. They will participate in business unit staff meetings, listen for feedback about people programs, and take advantage of opportunities to advocate better leadership practices.


Responsibilities


  • Handles serious employee relations issues, such as interpersonal conflict, major policy violations, investigation of claims of harassment (of any type), falsification of Company records, etc.
  • Drives and delivers high-quality project work . his type of work requires exemplary team working abilities across different geographical locations, time zones, and cultures.
  • Works cross-functionally to identify and develop HR solutions that will ultimately improve business results through lowering turnover, increasing retention, developing high-performing co-workers, etc.
  • Serves as an ambassador of people management practices and a driver of change who leverages influence and partnership skills to enhance the effectiveness of individuals and teams in achieving Company goals.
  • May build and lead projects within HR or for HR initiatives in the business unit
  • May serve as a mentor to other HRBPs
  • Supports the continuous improvement of HR workflows. Provides process failure feedback to corporate department staff when appropriate.
  • Monitors employee engagement and works with leadership to develop and implement tactics to re-energize and re-engage the workforce when needed.
  • Assists in creating, maintaining, and improving HR Operations standard operating procedures with a focus on innovation, streamlining, and automation of processes
  • Communicates and collaborates with internal groups and affiliates (i.e., HRBPs, Payroll, Finance, Compliance, etc.) to support organizational initiatives.
  • Initiates and monitors all steps in the onboarding process.
  • Supports some HR transactional activities and processes in ADP Workforce NOW, MarketLink, Deltek CostPoint, I-9 verifications, etc., by inputting and verifying all data elements pertaining to new hires, terminations, and other employment transactions.
  • Ensures that appropriate measures are taken to preserve employee data confidentiality, and integrity in accordance with security and privacy policies.
  • Maintains adherence to all company policies and procedures.
  • Produces routine and ad-hoc reporting as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Requirements:


Relevant Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources or related field or equivalent


Relevant Experience:


  • Minimum 5 years in HRBP, Generalist, or Employee Relations role
  • Experience supporting HR Operations and Recruiting preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with various HRIS and payroll interfaces required.
  • Knowledge of federal, multi-state, and local employment laws.
  • Experience with reporting and data analytics is highly desired.
  • Previous HR experience with a national/global organization in the government contracting industry preferred.
  • Records management/retention experience desired
