Wanted: Mechanical Design Engineer

Rogue Talent Group has partnered with a world leader and manufacturer of commercial food processing and packaging equipment seeking a qualified Mechanical Design Engineer. The equipment is composed of stainless, aluminum, and plastics. Our Engineering team design mechanical and electromechanical products and systems by developing and testing using proven engineering methods.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Evaluate mechanical and electromechanical systems and products by designing and conducting research, applying principles of mechanics, hydraulics, etc.
• Develop and test models of alternate designs and processing methods to assess feasibility, operating condition effects, and possible new applications, including necessity of modification.
• Confirms system and product capabilities by designing feasibility and testing methods
• Develop manufacturing process by designing and modifying equipment for fabricating, assembling, and installing components.
• Eliminate costs for engineering and related projects.
• Prepare product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
• Recommend design modification to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.
• Provide customer technical support.

Requirements:

• Successful candidate must mechanically engineer design principles and methodologies.
• Must be proficient using Solid Works and ability to model in 3D, proficient in MS Office.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Must be able to visit customer locations to include meat processing divisions, withstand extreme cold and warm conditions, install and/or test equipment to assist with customer needs and expectations.

Education and Training:

• BS in mechanical engineering and 3 - 5+ years of experience in field or related area.
• Proficient in Solidworks.
• Exposure to CE and OSHA guarding
• Working knowledge of machinery design for the food industry is a plus.
