Senior Data EngineerOverview:The Senior Data Engineer develops complex transformation & data loading techniques to process massive volumes of data in and out of the enterprise data exchange environment. Collaborates with data analysts in finding and applying best practices within the team in addition to defining the businesss data requirements, which will ensure that the collected data is of a high quality and optimal for use across the department and the business at large. He/She will report to the SVP of Accounting and Finance in the corporate office.Key Duties and Responsibilities:Design, project manager, develop and deliver / implement data solutions to include: architecture design, proof of concept, development of standards, design and development of test plans, code and module design, development and testing, data solution debugging, design and implementation of a solution that follows efficient design techniquesDesign and engineer across multiple platform types with focus on Azure, S3, SQL Server, Varying BI Tools, ETL Tools, CDC methodologies, and application serversDesign and engineer across multiple hospitality source systems such as PMS, Financial systems, HR Systems and Enterprise Data Warehouse.Test and debug software including SQL code and infrastructure components.Keep abreast of hardware and software developments, including theory and techniqueAssures quality, security, and compliance requirements, including PCI, are met within all aspects of the data exchange environments.Modify, install and prepare technical documentation for system software applications.Diagnose, isolate and de-bug software problems and performs problem resolution.

Education and Experience:Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or relational functional field and/or equivalent combination of education or work7+ years experience in specific Domain, System and Infrastructures, sub systems and application integration.3+ years acting as a lead Engineer for major systems and their subsystems for complex computer applications and/or applicationExperience with Talend, Informix, DataStage or other data integration toolsets requiredExpert level understanding of query languages across multiple data platforms T-SQL, PostgreSQL required.Strong understanding of development methodologies such as Agile, SCRUM, and Waterfall development.Hospitality industry experience a strong plusOther Requirements:Demonstrates ability to manage own time and models a flexible work style. Shifts tasks as priorities and circumstances change based on needs and conditions of department. Creative with problem-solving and is solutions-orientedMaintains confidentiality and exercise good judgment around sensitive information
