TFC Poultry is a family-owned business with the purpose to build a family culture for all those we influence to lead a healthy, balanced life. TFC Poultry recently expanded and opened our second poultry production plant in Winchester, Virginia, as such we're currently hiring for our Logistics Coordinator.
The Logistics Coordinator will execute to the day-to-day details of logistics and complete other administrative tasks to accurately and timely reflect the inbound and outbound supply chain.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Coordinate inbound and outbound freight by directly working with carriers and warehouse while using the Material Resource Planning data as a guide
Communicate logistical changes with production, warehouse, and supply chain
Build relationships with new and existing carriers to enhance efficiency to drive increased performance and lower cost
Jointly develop strategies with operations by creating detailed action plans using data and industry trends
Purchase and inventory management of production/maintenance stock supplies
Serve as back-up to Supply Chain Coordinator
Promote personal and company image throughout the community
Other administrative tasks as needed
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED preferred
1-2 years of dispatch/logistic experience
Microsoft Office knowledge and expertise
