Embedded Controls Engineer will focus on developing automated machine systems and optimizing control algorithms. The ideal candidate will have expertise in PLC programming, proficiency in Visual Studio, and experience with C++. This role requires a balance of skills in embedded firmware engineering and controls engineering to excel in designing and implementing advanced control systems.

Embedded Controls Engineer Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement PLC software for machine control systems, utilizing Visual Studio and C++ to optimize algorithm performance.
• Update and enhance existing control systems, including robotic programs, PLC programs, electrical distribution, relay logic, motor controls, and operator interfaces, ensuring seamless integration.
• Design electrical controls for machines, aligning with customer requirements and industry standards, while efficiently implementing algorithms in C++.
• Create and update detailed electrical schematics using AutoCAD, focusing on integrating control logic effectively.
• Drive productivity and improve operator experience through programming changes, equipment upgrades, and HMI screen enhancements, utilizing Visual Studio and C++ for advanced functionality.
• Collaborate with customers and sales teams to define project requirements accurately, providing technical expertise in control system design.
• Assist in developing project estimates that align with customer expectations, leveraging proficiency in C++ and Visual Studio.
• Adhere to project timelines and meet engineering design release deadlines, ensuring efficient execution of control system development.
• Provide technical support to customers, manufacturing, sales, and field service teams, utilizing expertise in Visual Studio and C++ for troubleshooting and optimization.

Embedded Controls Engineer Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical controls, with a strong focus on PLC programming and proficiency in Visual Studio and C++.
• Hands-on experience with motion control, robotics, machining, and automation.
• Proficiency in HMI programming using Visual Studio, JavaScript, C#, and C++.
• Strong skills in AutoCAD and SolidWorks for electrical schematic design and system modeling.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information effectively.
