What will you do?Bixal seeks a dynamic Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) candidate to support the upcoming USAID Innovation Design, Execution, and Acceleration Support (IDEAS) Project, under USAID s Bureau for Development, Democracy, and Innovation (DDI) Innovation s Innovation, Technology, and Research Hub. The purpose of the activity is to provide design assistance, technical expertise, and acceleration support to bolster USAID open innovation programming. This includes increasing the uptake of innovations in an appropriate market or context; disseminating knowledge within USAID and the wider development community; and capturing open innovation best practices, successes, and lessons learned from both the innovations themselves and the programs supporting them. The DCoP will provide senior-level technical and administrative management of open innovation activities ensuring a timely implementation of project activities, deliverables and effective financial and personnel management.Important noteThis is a full-time proposal position contingent on contract award.Responsibilities:Provide responsive financial, contractual, and operational leadership and support to the project staff ensuring contract compliance.Provide senior-level technical management of open innovation activities.Liaise with USAID on issues related to contract management.Ensure that all project activities are implemented in accordance with the USAID policies and regulations.Ensure a timely implementation of project activities and effective financial and personnel management.Ensure that all project deliverables meet standards of excellence and USAID expectations.Promote operational efficiency, compliance with organizational and governmental regulations, and adherence to best practices.Contribute to annual work planning, budgeting, and overall program financial management, including responding to data calls from USAID in a timely fashion.Oversee the Production of financial reports as requested by USAID.Qualifications:Master s Degree in business administration, public administration, public policy, or a related field.Minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible work experience in managing complex projects in the international development sector with numerous grants and/or subcontracts.Minimum of three (3) years of overseas field experience or working in one or more developing countries.
