The Chief Engineer is responsible for all mechanical and electrical operations, maintenance, plumbing, keying, lighting, life safety, and energy management within the facility. The Chief must possess an active DC Third Class license. Hours are Monday-Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm. Here is a view in the day in the life of our Chief Engineer:Assign work to subordinates utilizing CMMS to maintain building operationsProvide Quality Control services for the work of subordinates and subcontractors to ensure maximum efficiency, economy, and quality of work performedPerform diagnostic and repairs on building systemsPrepare work schedulesTrain, or arrange for training of, Contractor employees in the proper maintenance of building systemsCoordinate and schedule maintenance and repair work on a daily basis to provide on-time delivery of contract requirementsPrepare and issue solicitations for the Contractor as necessary for the acquisition of goods and services in support of the contract requirementsAdminister the CMMS requirements dailyProficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and project tracking softwareQualificationsPlease review the qualifications need for the role:A minimum of five (5) years experience in a facility of comparable size and complexity requiring similar servicesExperience installing, troubleshooting, testing, repairing and maintaining all MEP systems and associated equipmentExperience working on chillers, boilers, and other complex systemsPossess a valid DC Third Class Stationary Engineer License On call - must be available for emergenciesPossess knowledge of the composition, operation, and installation of a variety of MEP systems, circuits, equipment, and controlsDemonstrate working knowledge of engineering and building systemsAbility to read, review and understand blueprintsEOE, including disability/veteransJob SummaryJob ID: 2024-3911Experience (Years): 10Company : Name Linked: Complete Building Services
