LHH is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Packaging Engineer to join our client's dynamic team in the automotive industry. As a Packaging Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimizing packaging solutions for our automotive products. Your expertise will contribute to the efficiency of our supply chain and ensure the safe and secure transportation of our products.


Client offering: Salary range 85-90K based on experience, annual bonus, Benefits: Medical, Dental, and Vision, 3 weeks PTO, 401K match 6%, FSA, HAS, Great working atmosphere, Relocation offered!


Responsibilities:

  • Develop innovative and cost-effective packaging designs for automotive components, ensuring product protection and efficient use of materials.- Reusable Materials
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product specifications and design packaging solutions that meet industry standards and customer requirements.
  • Continuously assess and optimize packaging designs to enhance sustainability and reduce environmental impact.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate packaging materials based on product characteristics, transportation requirements, and environmental considerations.
  • Work closely with packaging material suppliers to source high-quality materials and negotiate favorable terms.
  • Establish strong relationships with suppliers to stay updated on new packaging technologies and materials.
  • Implement and oversee quality control processes for packaging materials and designs.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to conduct testing and inspections, ensuring that packaging meets or exceeds industry standards.
  • Manage packaging budgets effectively, identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising product quality or safety.
  • Analyze packaging costs and propose solutions to optimize expenses while maintaining operational efficiency.
  • Stay informed about packaging regulations, standards, and certifications relevant to the automotive industry.
  • Ensure that all packaging designs and materials comply with local and international regulations.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in packaging design and optimization, preferably in the automotive industry for 3 Years.
  • Strong knowledge of packaging materials, testing methodologies, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in CAD software for package design.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
