Direct Support Professionals (DSP) Openings- Residential

Community Support Services, Inc. (CSS) is immediately hiring full time Direct Support Professional, (DSP) positions supporting individuals with autism in their daily lives. We are looking for caring and compassionate people to support adults and children with autism, in upper Montgomery County. Positions provide support in a residential settings. If you are interested and enjoy learning how to support, teach and advocate for individuals with autism and other intellectual and developmental disabilities, we have opportunities for you! CSS will provide specific on the job training for each support staff on how to include a person with autism in community and recreational activities. CSS offers unique schedules that work well for college students and individuals or parents who need to be home during the day to attend to other family obligations while working a full time job.

Additionally, you can pick up hours to provide Overnight Onsite Supervision, (OOS) paid at an addition hourly rate.

Requirements

REQUIRED TRAINING/PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS
  • Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Completion and demonstration of techniques taught in the MANDT, CPR & First Aid training's, other training's as required by CSS which are provided in orientation.
  • Successfully complete annual re-certification of the MANDT.
  • Recommended to have a valid driver's license and a driving record free of any moving violations for the past two (2) years.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Employee must be able to effectively use non-adverse physical intervention strategies with individuals with autism of varying heights, weights and levels of physical strength according to the guidelines presented in MANDT training.

***$20.06 is the rate after all training and compliance has been completed. The starting rate is $19.28 for this position until training is complete.
