The School Improvement Support Specialist is responsible for supporting both administrative and academic functions of an effective Title I elementary school program. Working closely with the building principal and other school-based instructional leaders, the School Improvement Support Specialist collaborates with a variety of school- and community-based stakeholders to improve the design and implementation of the instructional program related to increasing academic achievement and aligning professional development with sound needs assessment. The School Improvement Support Specialist serves as an essential, highly accountable member of the leadership team under the direction of the building principal.

Bachelor's degree in education or a related field required.
Master's degree in educational leadership or related field preferred.
Professional Teaching Certificate or eligibility for West Virginia licensure required.
Professional Administrative Certificate preferred.
Evaluation Leadership Institute (ELI) or equivalent preferred.
