**Duties**

** Summary**

As Administrative Support Specialist in the Office of Inspector General (OIG) at the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), the incumbent will responsible for supporting business activities of OIG's senior management and outreach efforts with internal/external stakeholders. OIG's mission is to protect the integrity of DFC's programs/operations and provide independent oversight to promote efficiency, effectiveness, and integrity to prevent and detect fraud, waste, and abuse.

**Responsibilities**

+ Support Inspector General (IG) and OIG senior leadership in analyzing, evaluating, and/or improving the efficiency of internal administrative operations, organizations, and/or management of programs.

+ Support Inspector General (IG) and OIG senior leadership in planning, analyzing and/or evaluating the effectiveness of line or operating programs.

+ Provide guidance and final decision on all matters related to the coordination, integration, and synchronization of staff actions, events, and activities affecting and involving OIG.

+ Serves as Records Liaison Officer. Provides office-wide support of business files for correct submission into agency's electronic federal records management system, following existing guidance and conformity with Federal Records requirements.

+ Responsible for ensuring correspondences and contacts to the OIG are logged and receive timely response.

+ Schedule meetings, conference calls, and supporting travel-related duties not otherwise covered by the DFC Travel Office, such as pre and post travel schedule planning and logistics.

+ Respond to inquiries from staff and officials of DFC, representatives of foreign governments, private industry, other Federal agencies, congressional staff, and the public, to include Freedom of Information (FOIA), Privacy Act, and other requests. **Travel Required**

You may qualify for this vacancy based upon the following statements for each grade level:

GS-12:**

One (1) year of specialized experience that is equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the GS-11 level in the Federal service, obtained in the private or public sectors. Qualified applicants will possess demonstrated experience in **ALL** **of the following:** 1) Perform and coordinate a variety of procedural administrative actions based upon priorities, commitments and program goals; 2) Review, analyze, and interpret appropriate administrative processes and/or procedures; 3) Communicate complex and technical information verbally and in writing with internal and external stakeholders; AND 4) Prepare reports in a professional format in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

**GS-13:**

One (1) year of specialized experience that is equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the GS-12 level in the Federal service, obtained in the private or public sectors. Qualified applicants will possess demonstrated experience in **ALL** **of the following:** 1)Develop and implement policies/procedures for administrative support programs; 2) Ability to identify areas requiring improvement, isolate and define problems, formulate, and recommend solutions based on direct observation and knowledge of the daily administrative functions of an office; 4) Prepare official written correspondence, such as responses to congressional inquiries or inquiries from other outside sources, such as internal and external stakeholders; 5) Prepare reports for senior management in a professional format in Excel, Word and PowerPoint; and 6) Manage federal records management processes and systems.

**NOTE: Familiarity with developing and/or managing website and social media content is highly desirable for both grade levels.**

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. **TIME-IN-GRADE**: Current career or career-conditional employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b). **Education**
