Job Summary
The registered nurse assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and supervises individual patient care using the nursing process. Accepts responsibility for direction of co-workers and delegation of role appropriate tasks in the implementation of care. Performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance to the established FMC policies, procedures and guidelines.
Job Qualifications
Education: ssociate degree in nursing. Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
Licensure/Certification: Valid license to practice in the State of Ohio.
* ACLS and BLS required. *

Experience: Previous Registered Nursing experience preferred.
Job-related Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills; Problem-solve and facilitate resolution to issues; demonstrates ability to handle multiple priorities; Make independent decisions. Critical thinking skills.

Essential Job Functions
Job Expectations and Responsibilities:
4. ssesses, plans, implements and evaluates nursing care of each patient according to the nursing process.
Provides quality care based on assessment needs and established plan of care/pathway.
Provides education for the patient and family/significant other from admission through discharge process.
Provides thorough, concise, accurate and legible documentation of the nursing process/pathway.
Notifies physician of pertinent observations and changes in the status of the patient.
Administers medications and performs treatments in an accurate safe manner.
Implements physician orders as written.
Assures equipment and supplies are readily available for patient care, reporting malfunctions to proper department.
Physical Capacity Demand
Heavy Work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work. Position may require frequent patient handling activity
