JOB PURPOSE:


As an Administrative/Office Assistant you will provide foundational administrative support within the office and specifically for the Purchasing Department.

You are very capable and enjoy performing diverse tasks and wearing many hats in an office environment.

You are interested in developing your foundational knowledge working in an office to grow your career.


PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Process and input invoices into an excel spreadsheet.
  • Collaborate with Accounting regarding all invoices/documents.
  • File, organize documents.
  • Customer service follow up with vendors, sub-contractors, clients and internal employees as needed.
  • Support the reception desk and answer office phones as needed.
  • Manage the travel system and assist with employee and guest travel arrangements.
  • Support special projects.


This is an in-office position, Monday- Friday, 8am-5pm.


QUALIFICATIONS


REQUIRED


  • Dependable. This role is an important part of the team.
  • Attention to detail. Strong organizational skills.
  • Great customer service and client follow up.
  • Respectful in an office environment.
  • Interest in learning and taking on new responsibilities.
  • Must be able to input data into an excel spreadsheet accurately and efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of the team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with a willingness to learn other company systems/ tools.



PREFERRED


  • Experience relevant to the job.
  • Entry level experience in accounting.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or construction environment and familiarity with terminology helpful.
  • Positive and professional attitude.
