The Systems Analyst plays a pivotal role in understanding and addressing business objectives and challenges by leveraging their expertise in systems analysis, data interpretation, and technology solutions. This individual will collaborate closely with various organizational units to identify operational inefficiencies, automate processes, and enhance existing computer systems. A keen focus on user requirements, program functions, and system capabilities is essential to develop and modify computer programs effectively.

• Understand business objectives and problems, and propose alternative solutions.
• Conduct studies and cost/benefit analysis to evaluate solution options.
• Analyze user requirements, operational procedures, and system limitations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define specific input/output requirements.
• Write detailed descriptions of user needs and program functions.
• Assess computer system capabilities and scheduling limitations.
  
  

The Systems Analyst will be integral in supporting the State Health Analytics Reporting Platform (SHARP). Responsibilities include:

• Creating dashboards and reports using Tableau or PowerBI based on business requirements.
• Translating business requirements into actionable Tableau/PowerBI reports.
• Participating in testing of reports and dashboards to ensure functionality.
• Working collaboratively with program staff to ensure deliverables meet customer needs.
• Publishing and promoting reports as necessary to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
  
  

Minimum Requirements:

• 8 years of experience in creating reports or performing data analysis using Tableau, PowerBI, SQL, Cognos, Business Objects, QlikView, or similar tools.
• 4 years of experience working with large-scale datasets in databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Snowflake, or similar.
• 4 years of experience creating dashboards and reports specifically with Tableau.
• 4 years of experience creating dashboards and reports specifically with PowerBI.
