Human Resources Generalist

Job description

The Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board (MSRB) is currently seeking a Human Resources Generalist who will report to the Director of Human Resources and contribute to a range of programs, such as: recruitment, orientation and onboarding, performance management, payroll and benefits, training and development, and company policy and procedure adherence. In addition, they will build strong relationships with our company's staff, managers and external vendors.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment process including sourcing, scheduling, and interviewing candidates
  • Handle onboarding tasks such as preparing offers, new hire paperwork, and conducting orientation sessions
  • Lead biweekly payroll processes, update HR reports, and compile data for compliance reporting.
  • Play a key role in Open Enrollment by updating systems, preparing materials, and conducting information sessions
  • Administer benefits plans, process enrollments, and resolve benefits-related inquiries
  • Prepare compensation and award letters
  • Assist with performance management process by administering the PM system and following-up with staff.
  • Coordinate the company Wellness program



Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Human Resources, or related area is preferred.
  • 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
  • Knowledge of employment law and general HR practices as well as practical experience recruiting and administering benefits is required. Experience in payroll administration or support is preferred.
  • Experience presenting in small groups and one-on-one settings is required.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and follow-up is essential, along with the ability to independently manage projects.
