Job Description
We are seeking Registered Nurses - ICU to join our teams across the US. Registered Nurses (RNs) in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) provide critical care nursing to patients with life-threatening illnesses or injuries. They work in a highly specialized and technologically advanced environment, monitoring and treating patients who require constant monitoring and care.
Responsibilities
Assess and monitor patients' vital signs, hemodynamic status, and overall condition continuously
Administer and monitor complex medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by physicians
Operate and monitor specialized equipment, such as ventilators, dialysis machines, and cardiac monitors
Provide life-sustaining measures, such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), as needed
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans
Document patient care, progress, and any changes in condition accurately and promptly
Educate patients and their families on their medical conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care instructions
Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to maintain clinical competency in critical care
Clearance
US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is required
Pass/possess VA Public Trust Clearance
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Nursing
Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
Critical Care Nursing certification or equivalent experience
Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of critical care nursing principles, procedures, and best practices
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment while maintaining composure and attention to detail
Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care
Adherence to ethical standards, regulations, and hospital policies
