Learn more at SummaryWorking as the Manager of Engineering, you are responsible for the overall management of all electrical Operations & Maintenance activities within the healthcare environment. You plan, organize, and control functions and activities of all electrical services under the scope of the contract. This position is located in an acute care hospital setting.Responsibilities: Reviews and evaluates existing programs, services, policies and procedures Meets with FM Director to plan, organize, coordinate, and/or communicate programs, services, policies and/or procedures within the electrical trade. Monitors flow and quality of work to assure timely completion of workload and adherence to facility's standards and regulations Manages and ensures compliance with the Joint Commission, State Health Department, EPA, DEP, ADA, UST, and other regulatory business appointments related to electrical infrastructure Monitors work performance and prepares and/or reviews performance evaluations for assigned personnel (if applicable) Orients new employees and provides on-the-job training to assigned personnel (if applicable) Resolves complaints and disciplines employees, as required (if applicable) Interviews applicants and recommends qualified individuals for hire (if applicable) Plans, coordinates, and monitors construction and development of physical facilities related to electrical infrastructure Reviews, evaluates, and recommends approval of plans for construction related to electrical infrastructure Advises on structural changes and additions and/or modifications to buildings related to electrical infrastructure Interviews independent contractors to receive and analyze bids, including blueprint analysis of proposed changes related to electrical infrastructureQualifications: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (or related fields) Minimum of 3-5 years responsibility in the electrical engineering field or hospital electrical infrastructure Should have proficiency in CMMS Systems, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Ability to meet deadlines and make sound decisions, sometimes under stress Work whatever hours are necessary to maintain facility in a safe manner including nights and weekends Good physical condition and ability to operate departmental equipmentApply to Crothall todayCrothall is a member of Compass Group USAClick here to Learn More about the Compass StoryCompass Group is an equal opportunity employer.
