LMI is seeking for a

Product Owner

to support a federal program management office (PMO) charged with planning, acquiring, and managing the deployment and operation of technology and capabilities to keep our borders safe.

This individual will provide quality assurance support to the client's program management office, located in Washington, D.C.LMI is a consultancy dedicated to improving the business of government, drawing from deep expertise in advanced analytics, digital services, logistics, and management advisory services. Responsibilities

Agile development Product Owner will conduct end-to-end analysis, design, and development of highly complex systems and understand the scope of the upcoming enabler work. Product Owner will oversee the entire product development process and will work with a variety of teams, scrum masters and product developers to ensure the final product meets certain requirements and preferences. Product Owner will collect and define requirements to be used in future user stories for development.Specific responsibilities may include:Oversee all stages of product creation, design, and development

Elicit, analyze, document and trace requirementsAct as a liaison between the product team and end-users to deliver updatesCollaborate with prospective users and clients to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirementsDesign and communicates feature description to government and contracting support stakeholders, including development of user stories and acceptance criteriaDefine the vision for the team's product and create a product road map based on this visionParticipate in scrum meetings and product sprintsBuild, edit, maintain product backlog with input from key stakeholders prioritize them based in changing requirementsDefine and implement improvement stories that will increase the velocity and quality of the productMonitor and evaluate product progress at each stage of the processProduce System demos for program and key stakeholders, and participate in retrospective activitiesLead and prepare Program Increment (PI) planning activities and program backlog refinement; Communicates story detail and priorities and ensures the team aligns and agrees on a final iteration planWork with the team to agree on accepted story completion, this includes validating that the story meets acceptance criteria, that it has the appropriate, persistent acceptance tests, and that it complies with its definition of doneParticipate in the preparation of system demo

Qualifications

SENIOR LEVEL:

10+ years of relevant experience and a STEM BS degree or 7 years relevant experience and a MS degree in systems engineering.Experience in managing or leading IT programs or projects including technical solution development where software, hardware, and networks are major system componentsIn-depth knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development MethodologyWorking knowledge of product development architectureProficiency in the use of analytic toolsAbility to prioritize effectivelyExcellent knowledge of user-centered design principlesExcellent oral and written communicationAbility to work with large teamsUnderstanding of design quality standardsStrong communication skills, organizational skills, and problem-solving skillsApplicants selected for this position will be subject to a comprehensive government security investigation must meet eligibility requirements for access to sensitive information. The background investigation includes financial, criminal, residential, educational, foreign affiliation, and employment verifications.
