Apply today!About the roleReporting to the Shift Supervisor, the Heavy Equipment Operator will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of inbound and outbound materials in various forms through Reworld' s industrial disposal process using a front end loader, backhoe, excavator, etc.Position Responsibilities:Safely operate industrial equipment to consolidate dumped refuse on the tipping floor through the safe operation of various types of industrial equipment, such as: track hoe, skid steer, backhoe, excavator, etc.Follow defined industrial and manufacturing good housekeeping practices at all Covanta facilities and within assigned work areasAssist facility mechanic(s) with equipment repairs as neededAdditional duties as assigned to ensure safe and efficient facility operationsShift will rotate:1 week - 6am to 3:30 pm Monday through Sat1 week - 3pm to close (midnight/1am) - Monday to FridayPosition Requirements & Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred Covanta offers GED Works - a fully funded program for employees to achieve their GED.
