Position Description
EnCompass, LLC is seeking an Accounts Payable (AP) Assistant to join its growing Finance Team! We are looking for someone with strong communication skills, attention to details, and organization skills to provide day-to-day administrative support to the AP team.

This is a full-time position located at the EnCompass principal office in Silver Spring, Maryland, and follows the EnCompass flexible hybrid work model with split time between telework and the office. Must be legally authorized to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship for a work visa or permit.

Candidates must reside in the DC metro area.
Position Duties and Responsibilities
Support AP functions, including:

  • Set up and maintain new and existing vendor records in Costpoint (CP) in accordance to USG requirements
    • Other duties as assigned
    • Assist with implementation of accounting related projects as needed
    • Provide excellent customer service and problem resolution for both internal and external partners
    • Review and process PPR submissions as needed
    • Respond to AP related inquires in the shared finance inbox that may include following up on missing documents related to PPRs, Travel Expenses and Advances
    • Reconcile (3) monthly credit card statements; research missing Purchase and Payment Request Forms (PPRs) and receipts; enter in CP
General:
  • Engage fully as a member of the EnCompass staff team, including participating in staff meetings and other EnCompass events
Position Requirements
Qualifications

Academic Qualifications
  • High School Diploma and 3 years of experience preferred; Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field preferred but not required;
Experience and Skills
  • Costpoint experience preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles preferred but not required
  • Ability to organize and follow through on multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
  • Strong attention to detail is a must
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team
  • Knowledge of US Government contracts is preferred
  • Familiarity with MS Office
  • Ability to work in an appreciative environment with colleagues and clients

The pay range for this role allows for the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. At EnCompass, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $52,500 - $59,500.
