Food Production Associate I (PRN | As Needed)

Job description

The Food Production Associate I will produce, portion and label cold food including but not limited to sandwiches, salads, desserts, condiments for patient, cafeteria, and catering. Will complete assigned food pre-preparation needs for production.

Qualifications:
Minimum Education
High School Diploma or GED (Required)

Minimum Work Experience
1 year Related experience (Required)

Required Skills/Knowledge
Do basic mathematical calculations, read and comprehend basic English.
Lifting 50 lbs. Maximum, frequently lifting of 25 lbs.
Must be able to go into refrigerated/freezer areas for some supplies.

Functional Accountabilities
Culinary/Productivity
  • Prepare cold food according to standardized recipes and production sheet needs, including but not limited to portion control, garnish and presentation.
  • Assist with hot food pre-preparation as needed.
  • Maintain appropriate records of food temperatures, production and usage.
  • Maintain and ensure food safety standards.
Safety/Sanitation
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary work environment throughout shift according to the standards of the department, hospital and regulatory agencies.
  • Utilize HACCP process during all aspects of food production.
  • Perform cleaning assignments as assigned.
Communication
  • Communicate to Management all food quality and availability issues, equipment status, customer and staffing issues.
  • Communicate to management unresolved customer service issues within 24 hours.
  • Complete quality control documentation including but not limited to chill time & temperature and preparation time and temperatures.
Professionalism
  • Adhere to all department and hospital policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a professional image by adhering to department uniform guidelines.
  • Regularly adhere to department schedules.
