As a Construction Quality Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring quality standards and compliance with federal regulations on construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Implement and oversee quality control procedures for federal construction projects, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, specifications, and standards.
- Conduct inspections and audits to verify the quality of workmanship, materials, and processes according to project plans and specifications.
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor and document construction activities, test results, and compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Provide training and guidance to project teams on quality control procedures and best practices.
- Perform quality assurance reviews and assessments to identify areas for improvement and ensure continuous compliance with quality standards.
- Maintain quality records, reports, and documentation in accordance with project requirements and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with government agencies, inspectors, and third-party quality assurance providers as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in construction quality control/assurance, specifically on federal projects.
- Strong knowledge of federal construction regulations, codes, and standards (e.g., FAR, UFC, ASTM).
- Experience with quality control tools, methods, and processes.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite and construction management software.
