Doctoral Capstone Coordinator, Occupational Therapy

Job description

Notre Dame of Maryland University, Department of Occupational Therapy seeks applications for a Doctoral Capstone Coordinator (DCC) position for the Entry Level OTD Program. This is a full time, 12-month, core faculty in-person position. The Capstone Coordinator is responsible for guiding, supporting, and advising capstone projects, aiding students with capstone-site placements, and safeguarding compliance with ACOTE standards. The DCC will work collaboratively with the OTD Program Director and faculty to advance the program's mission and scholarly agendas.

Requirements:

The Doctoral Capstone Coordinator (DCC) candidate will be responsible teaching and for the management and compliance of the capstone projects as delineated by the Accreditation Council of Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) standards. The DCC will also ensure the quality and integrity of the scholarly capstone in conjunction with the requirements of the OTD program.

Minimum/Preferred Qualifications:

* Earned doctoral degree (such as but not limited to: OTD, PhD, EdD) from an institution that is accredited by a USDE- recognized regional accrediting body.

* Maryland State Occupational Therapy License Eligible.

* Current NBCOT Certification.

* Previous experience as a DCC or an Academic Fieldwork Coordinator in an Occupational Therapy program is desired.

* Demonstrated evidence in teaching graduate courses and using Learning Management System(s).

* Demonstrated evidence in research/scholarly achievement is preferred.

* Demonstrated evidence in teaching in interprofessional courses is preferred.
