What will you do?

* Provides technical assistance & guidance to Medicaid Services System (MSS) users: researches & responds to basic inquiries utilizing Medicaid related systems (e.g., MSS, Medicaid Billing System (MBS), Payment Authorization for Waiver Services (PAWS), Individual Data Systems (IDS), Waiver Management System (WMS), Provider Services Management (PSM), Developmental Disability Profile (DDP), Acuity Assessment Instrument (AAI), Monthly Rate Calculator (MRC)) & provides technical assistance, program assistance & training by telephone, in writing, email or in person to Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) Medicaid Home & Community Based Services Waiver providers, other DODD personnel, County Boards of DD personnel, recipients &/or family members & general public concerning federal Medicaid regulations, Ohio Revised & Administrative Codes, policies & procedures, status of claims, claims processing procedures & system access & security; coordinates technical assistance & response to inquiries with other Medicaid Operational units (e.g., Provider Certification, Prior Authorization, Waiver Enrollment & other divisions within DODD); ensures cases are tracked using appropriate software & volume of open cases remains at a manageable level; provides appropriate customer service; monitors & analyzes various reports related to claims & billing & takes appropriate action to resolve.

* Assists DODD Medicaid Home & Community Based Waiver providers & County Boards of DD personnel with processing eligible Medicare &/or Medicaid claims for reimbursements for patients housed in DODD facilities or from service providers &/or county boards. Accesses Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) Medicaid Information Technology System (MITS) or replacement system &/or ODM's Ohio Benefits Eligibility System to investigate & resolve non-adjudicated claims transactions or claims denied for reimbursement by ODM; monitors & reviews claims submissions through MBS to ODM for adjudication & through Ohio Administrative Knowledge System (OAKS) for appropriate reimbursement; updates MBS with pertinent provider demographic information received upon certification of provider by DODD & ODM; ensures that services authorized through MSS or PAWS accurately flow through to State MBS; reviews cost authorization in Service Payment Authorization (SPA) &/or PAWS systems to ensure accuracy.

* 12 mos. exp. as Accountant/ Examiner 1, 66111, with state government exp. commensurate with duties to be assigned.

* Or 24 mos. exp. in position involving review & processing of claims, collections, billings, payments or review of documents for accuracy, completeness &/or compliance with reporting guidelines, laws or rules with exp. commensurate to duties to be assigned.

* Or 16 semester or 24 quarter hours in accounting; 12 mos. exp. in accounting or other fiscal/financial activity.

* Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
