The Communications Department (COMM) at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory is seeking a hybrid events coordinator to workwithin our AV Operations and Meeting Support Section and in partnership with our diverse communications teams to provide hybrid/virtual event support for APLs sectors and departments.

In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to our staff and collaborate with our creative team to execute event plans in delivery of successful and impactful hybrid/virtual events.

**As a Hybrid Events Coordinator, you will:**

* Oversee and execute hybrid/virtual event plans by working closely with diverse teams, including communications strategists (CS), Client and Event Services (CES) staff, leadership, and technical staff in support of specific hybrid/virtual event needs, expectations, and demands.

* Translate complex events into well-executed and visually compelling deliverables.

* Lead teams in all phasesfrom planning to executionwhile communicating and tracking hybrid event requirements.

* Serve as a conduit between clients and the various COMM teams to seamlessly deliver events.

* Build strong relationships with enterprise service departments and effectively communicate logistics and impacts to on-site staff.

* Consult with clients to develop dynamic and engaging events.

* Develop estimates, and track and monitor individual event project budgets via COMM tools.

* Effectively communicate budget and project impacts to stakeholders (i.e., the client, CS, and COMM teams) and keep stakeholders abreast of major changes.

**Qualifications**

: **You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you...**

* A Bachelor's degree in event management, audio visual technology, business management, communications, operations, or a related field or equivalent years of experience.

* At least 5 years of demonstrated expertise in leading or coordinating digital and/or hybrid events.

* Demonstrated breadth of knowledge in AV communications technologies in use today and their path for the future.

* Demonstrated skills and experience in digital event project management to support projects with strong sense of follow-through and commitment to completing tasks.

* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels of a matrixed organization.

* Demonstrated success in leading and managing formally or informally, with strong interpersonal and conflict management skills.

* Demonstrated ability to think strategically.

* Unquestionable integrity with exceptional communication skills.

* Ability to work occasional weekends and other after hours work required to handle and/or complete critical project/work-related business needs.

* Are able to obtain a Secret level security clearance by your start date. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship. ??????????????
