**Transport Service Driver**

**Location:** Fort Belvoir, VA **Position:** Transport Service Driver The Transport Services Driver operates Government provided vehicles to transport the MDA personnel. The driver willsupervise and operate wheeled vehicles over all types of terrain to safely transport cargo, personnel, and provide mobility on all missions. **This position is contingent upon award.** * Contractor personnel operating motor vehicles in support of official duties shall have valid operator's licenses for the category of vehicle being operated and shall comply with State and Local traffic laws and Redstone Arsenal Policies regarding motor vehicle use.

* Operate motor vehicles for delivering or transporting people, records, supplies, materials

* Drive vehicles and equipment over various types of terrain and roadways, in close quarters, on short and long hauls, through all kinds of weather, in heavy traffic, in controlled environment and at variable traffic speeds

* Perform maintenance and manual labor, which may include checking for adequate fuel supply, cooling system, oil level, tire wear or damage, air pressure, battery conditions and vehicle cleanliness

* If transporting goods, load and unload them at the points of origin and destination and understand how to properly load and secure heavy and bulky goods so they do not fall or shift

* Keep logs of vehicle usage, purchases and deliveries, monthly ridership and vehicle utilization; must track ridership, including the number of passengers, round-trip mileage, scheduled and unscheduled driving events, and number of cancelled trips

* Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment for the vehicles

* Vehicle operators must be courteous and maintain a clean appearance

* Maintain licensing required to operate the categories of vehicles

* 4+ years experience

* Valid Commercial Drivers License

* Secret Clearance

* Vehicle operators must be knowledgeable of locations, military installations and MDA facilities in the NCR including Dahlgren, VA, Colorado Springs, CO, and Huntsville, AL.

* Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, strong work ethic, ability to be a self-starter, and the desire to work and succeed in a rigorous and challenging dynamic business environment

* Must be able to successfully complete drug screen prior to hire

* Top Secret Clearance

* Trained in defensive driving techniques, driving safety standards

* Certified in basic first aid

* Experience with buses and light vehicles

+ a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or

+ a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.
