Description

V-Tech Solutions, Inc., is seeking hardworking utility workers to perform general cleaning and maintenance duties at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Washington, DC. supporting the Nutrition Services Department.

Responsibility:

  • Load and unload materials, clean equipment, and assist in all food prep, service, and storage areas where assigned
  • Taking verbal and written instructions from company managers and maintenance officers.
  • Cleaning assigned work areas inside and outside of the property.
  • Performing basic landscaping duties including tree trimming, weeding, and watering of plants.
  • Ordering and maintain cleaning supplies and maintenance equipment.
  • Conducting basic repairs on landscaping and maintenance equipment.
  • Replacing light fittings and broken globes.
  • Ensuring the safe handling and storage of volatile cleaning liquids and gasoline.
  • Ensuring that utility projects have been completed and signed off.
  • Operate commercial ware washer, dishwasher, and pot washer
  • Perform sanitation within the central kitchen and residential areas
  • Serve meals to residential patients
  • Direct the set-up of stations on the tray line with the correct supplies and food items and the breaking down and cleaning of the station after the serving period. Open and/or pan bulk food items for use on the tray line;
  • Subject to working in a cold/hot environment. (Walk-in Refrigerators and Freezers)

Requirements

  • Education: High School education or GED
  • Ability to perform simple math.
  • Must be able to write and type notes using basic computer skills.
  • Be able to lift between 25-40 pounds with a dolly and other moving equipment assistance and stand for long periods.
  • Previous experience as a utility worker.
  • Ability to read and interpret written work orders.
  • Knowledge of mechanical landscaping equipment.
  • Ability to stand, crouch, and kneel for extended periods.
  • Experience working with dangerous cleaning chemicals.
  • Knowledge of cleaning equipment and techniques.
  • Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge.
  • Ability to lift and manipulate heavy equipment.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and 10 panel drug test.
  • Must be able to provide a negative TB test.
  • Must be able to provide proof of covid vaccination.
