**Janitorial Lead Worker**

**Job Summary:**

We are currently seeking a FULL TIME Janitorial Lead Worker, to support our MHVP located at 4355 Nicole Drive, Lanham, MD 20706. This individal will work on contracts in Denton, MD.

**Essential Functions:**

* Assist supervisor in completing janitorial tasks.

* Set the work pace for workers on crew.

* Provide workers on the job training in cleaning techniques.

* Assume supervisory role in absence of supervisor.

* Operate vacuum cleaner in safe and efficient manner.

* Pull trash and replace trash liners.

* Dust mop floors using dust mop.

* Wet/damp mop floor using wet mop and bucket/wringer.

* Wipe surfaces to disinfect and/or remove dust.

* Complete all agency required trainings for position.

* Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

* Attends mandatory meetings.

* Participate in and successfully complete all required trainings.

* Other duties as assigned.

**Supervisory Responsibilities:**

Directly supervises 1-2 employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

**Education and/or Experience:**

High School Diploma (or equivalent); 1-3 years of janitorial experience.

**Physical Demands:**

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must frequently lift up to 25 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and rarely lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. This is a fast-paced position with constant activity. The employee must be able to quickly escape from an emergency situation, which may include running, climbing, balancing, or crawling; must be able to regularly use hands to operate objects, tools or controls; and must occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch and/or reach in order to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the position. Will need to move about up to 100% of work shift. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. **Work Enviornment:**

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment may be loud. The employee may be required to ride in a vehicle for extended periods of time and walk to wherever is necessary to perform essential duties and responsibilities.

Janitorial-Lead Worker are hired for our various contracts. While the primary workplace may be closest to the individuals home, work assignments could be in any of the programs current locations, within the state of Maryland. As we operate as a 365 day per year service, Janitorial-Lead Worker must be available for day, evening, weekend and holiday shifts, as scheduled, and must be available for on-call duties, as needed. While every effort may be made to create a schedule that meets the individual staff persons needs, the schedule is created first and foremost to meet the needs of the programs.

**Driving/Travel:**

The employee must possess a valid Drivers License (with no more than two points) and proof of current automobile insurance.
