Tracking Code 13099-159 Job Description **MISSION / SUMMARY:**

**Graphic Packaging is looking for a highly electrically inclined Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing leadership, guidance, direction, and management for the maintenance department including 16 direct reports during the various shift operations. Ensures safety, quality, and customer satisfaction goals are met. Initiates and supports all processes and ensures compliance with minimal supervision required.**

**JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include but are not limited to the following.**

* **Utilize SAP to review work orders and determine the material and parts required to complete the repair or installation.**

* **Prioritize and dispense work orders for completion.**

* **Audit work order completion.**

* **Order and manage all repair, preventative, and predictive maintenance efforts. Ensure that all production equipment is in top operating condition or create plans to address potential problems in the near term.**

* **Identify activities and opportunities that improve the manufacturing processes and control costs throughout the department.**

* **Report to the person of authority to record any potentially unsafe conditions which may result in unsafe foods or noncompliance to SQF related procedures.**

* **Participate in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions (from customer complaints, SQF audits, validation, and verification activities) as required.**

* **Provide direct supervision to the Maintenance crew including scheduling, performance, and conduct.**

* **Ensure that all building code, OSHA, and environmental requirements are met. Interact with property insurers and contractors to see the facility is properly protected and cared for.**

* **Lead departments safety training initiatives and ensure prompt resolution of facility safety work orders.**

* **Hold daily crew meetings with assigned crews. Identify and recommend training needs as required.**

* **Support Plant sanitation activities.**

* **Performs other duties as assigned by the Maintenance & Engineering Manager.**

Required Skills **Required Experience**

**EDUCATION:**

* **A bachelor's or technical degree in a related field.**

* **4-5 years or more experience in a maintenance department in a manufacturing organization.**

* **Maintenance experience: knowledge of electrical (277/480VAC, 120/208VAC, 12-24VDC), PLCs, mechanical (pumps, blowers, chillers, oil conditioners), power transmission systems, building services, rotary equipment.**

* **Project Management experience**

**SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:**

* **Excellent written and verbal communications skills**

* **Ability to manage multiple projects, resources, and people and set and meet target deadlines.**

* **Ability to develop improvements, achieve budget/cost constraints.**

* **Direct supervisory experience in a unionized facility is preferred.**

* **Proficient with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and the internet.**

* **Proficient with SAP systems.**

* **Individual must be adept at analyzing and recommending solutions to a variety of mechanical, electrical, and employee problems at any time of the day or night.**

* **Solid Budgeting and negotiating skills**

* **A leader with exceptional communication skills, good organization and the ability to communicate will all levels of the organization**

**SCHEDULE DEMANDS:**

* **General schedule is an 8-9-hour M-F assignment, however, employee must be willing to work alternate schedule; that may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekends, and be punctual while doing so.**

* **Weekend duty for Maintenance is 1 out of 4 weekends.**

**PHYSICAL DEMANDS:**

* **Ability to lift up to 40lbs at a time.**

* **Ability to move around the plant to direct resources.**

* **Ability to climb ladders and stairs as needed.**

* **Ability to stand for long periods of time**

* **Ability to withstand loud noises**

* **Sitting or standing for extended periods of time up to 9-hours.**

* **Occasional bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, and twisting required**

* **Simple and powerful grasping with both right and left hands is required**

* **Reading computer screens or other electronic devices.**

* **Use of various office hand and electrical tools or equipment**
