Reveille Group is a strategic advisory consulting firm with offices in Washington, DC. We are focused on providing our diverse clients with innovative solutions including technical analysis and development. We are looking to bring on an integral team member to provide support for an existing project. You will function as an integral Knowledge Management Lead of a major system for a federal agency.

Responsibilities

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) supports a critical system called Development Information Solution (DIS), which works to provide field missions with necessary program data to perform their jobs. The Knowledge Management Lead (KML), for the DIS project, reports to the senior technical Project Manager within DIS. The KML is responsible for developing actionable plans to improve the document retention repository, migrating current drives to Google Shared Drive(s), developing and managing action plans, and participating in their execution. The KML oversees the DIS intranet site and serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) around Agency and industry standards for Knowledge Management and Google functions and features. This role is critical for enhancing organizational knowledge sharing, collaboration, and decision-making processes.

Examples of anticipated work activity:
  • Design and implement approaches to revise, capture, store, and disseminate knowledge, best practices, and expertise to support decision-making, improve efficiency, and enhance collaboration among teams.
  • Collaborate with various teams and other subject matter experts to identify knowledge gaps, develop knowledge sharing initiatives, and leverage technology tools to ensure the team's knowledge assets are easily accessible and valuable.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with the Knowledge Management and Organizational Learning (KMOL) community of practice and bring knowledge of this community to the broader DIS Team.
  • Revise and maintain a Google based knowledge repository or database to systematically organize and categorize information for easy retrieval and with appropriate permission controls.
  • Design and implement knowledge sharing initiatives to encourage a culture of knowledge exchange within the organization.
  • Facilitate meetings and promote meeting management best practices.
  • Regularly assess the effectiveness of knowledge management processes and initiatives and develop or implement methods to address gaps.
  • Ensure the accuracy of knowledge assets by regularly updating and validating the content in various intranet sites.
  • Participate in or lead regular Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings.
  • Monitor and track content usage and user feedback to refine practices as needed.
  • Collaborate with the various DIS workstreams to integrate knowledge management solutions with existing systems and processes.
  • Document 'as is' and 'to be' states of the DIS Program's Knowledge Management practices, roadmaps and/or action plans to attain 'to be' state, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to drive adoption of KM best practices and ensure consistent management.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience
  • Bachelors with 8+ years (or commensurate experience)
  • Experienced Professional with 8+ years as a knowledge management lead
  • Knowledge of and experience with defining and mapping requirements.
  • Proficient with all Microsoft Suite tools
  • Ability to align detailed tasks with the big picture.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to tailor your messaging to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficient to handle multi-tasking and ability to prioritize (teams) tasks independently based on Organizations priorities.
  • Ability to manage various stakeholders (technical and non-technical) and collaborate with others to achieve common goals.
  • US Citizenship with eligibility for a security clearance
  • Note: this position is based out of Washington, DC. The role is a hybrid role that allows for partial telework/remote work. However, meetings may arise that require onsite attendance in Washington, DC.

Preferred Skills and Experience
  • PMP certification is a strong plus.
  • Experience supporting critical IT systems in a Knowledge Management role.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills
  • Active security clearance, Secret level or higher
