We are currently looking to hire a General Manager / Golf Course Superintendent for the Founded in 1992, the Raven Golf Club at Snowshoe Mountain Resort is one of West Virginias premier getaway golf destinations. Amenities include an 18-hole classic carved into the mountainside featuring bentgrass fairways and greens designed by Gary Player in 1992. The Raven has hosted numerous professional and amateur events.

**Salary Range** | $90,000 - $100,000 plus a potential operational bonus of $0 - 10K based on property financial performance,

**Role** : The General Manager / Golf Course Superintendent oversees and leads all day-to-day operations. The GM / GCS will work closely with marketing, agronomic, human resources, and finance teams to ensure positive financial performance, positive culture in associates and customers as well as delivering consistent positive member and guest experience. The GM / GCS is expected to lead the team through the adoption of standardized processes and practices. The General Manager must possess strong operational, financial, and analytical skills and will not be afraid to jump into the operations if or when needed.

**Essential GM / GCS Duties:**

* Responsible for oversight and bottom-line responsibility of all club operations including golf, food and beverage, course maintenance, marketing, member retention and relations, and club administration.

* Responsible for monitoring the performance of all daily operations ensuring all departments are maintaining the highest standards. This includes associate morale, communication, and a functional organizational structure where all players on the team know their responsibilities and to whom to report.

* Assist in coordinating the development of the clubs long-range and annual (business) plans.

* Assist in implementing marketing and member relations programs to promote the clubs services and facilities to potential and present members, including newsletters and other external communications.

* Deliver and promote prompt, friendly service to all members and their guests, making them feel welcome and part of the club family. Responsible for revenue growth and grow the game programs.

* Maintains all grounds including the golf course, clubhouse surrounds, and other maintainable property

* Supervises all planting, fertilizing, and chemical applications, and other care of turf, plants, shrubs, and trees on the golf course and clubhouse surroundings Hires supervises and develops Assistant Superintendent, foreman, irrigation technician, and other employees in the maintenance department

* Informs members about the present and future maintenance activities Coordinates scheduling of all personnel assigned to the department

* Communicates frequently with the Regional Operations to discuss activities, goals, plans, and member/customer feedback. Prepares and manages an annual budget plan for the golf course maintenance operation.

* Maintains inventory and oversees all repairs and scheduled maintenance of all golf course maintenance equipment Implements and enforces a comprehensive safety program for employees of the maintenance department Supervises maintenance and operation of drainage, irrigation, and other mechanical watering systems

* Develops a chemical and fertilizer plan on an annual basis

* Ensures that the golf course is providing healthy and high-quality playing conditions for members and guests of the property

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Willingness and desire to create a team learning environment and to foster a positive, fulfilling work environment.
