Jaguar/Land Rover at West Columbia is hiring a Luxury Automotive Service Advisor!

Jim Coleman Automotive is a 3rd generation family-owned dealership. The Coleman family has been selling and servicing cars in the Washington Metropolitan and Bethesda areas since the 1950s. We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated service writer to provide advice and assistance to customers throughout the service experience. Responsibilities
  • Provide timely updates
  • Assist customer with needs/requests
  • Greeting customers at the service lane
  • Consulting with technicians regarding necessary repairs and possible alternatives to expensive repairs.
  • Using your knowledge of our products and services to sell or provide in-depth information about available parts and service options to customers.
  • Answering questions about service outcomes and scheduling and booking appointments, vehicle drop-off, and vehicle pick-up.


Requirements
  • Minimum 1-2 years automotive experience
  • Proven experience as service advisor to maximize profit
  • The ability to see the service experience through the eyes of the guest
  • A " whatever it takes " mindset
  • Tech savvy with working knowledge of computer systems and databases
  • Able to balance a customer-oriented and a results-driven approach
  • Patient and comfortable dealing with customers
  • Professionalism and outgoing personality
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking abilities
  • Willing to learn and take direction
