Job description

Our client is seeking a Computer and Information Systems Manager to support a homeland security customer in Washington, DC. The Computer and Information Systems Manager will be pivotal in spearheading the Information Technology initiatives of our organization. This role encompasses a broad spectrum of responsibilities including electronic data processing, information systems, systems analysis, data analytics, and computer programming. The successful candidate will lead an advanced data analytics program, ensuring the alignment of technological solutions with our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate activities in various IT domains, ensuring the effective implementation of information technology capabilities.
  • Oversee the development and execution of an advanced data analytics program, aligning with organizational goals and project objectives.
  • Provide technical and managerial leadership on major tasks or technology assignments, establishing and realizing goals and plans.
  • Ensure optimal financial management, methodological execution, and staffing for projects, meeting all technical requirements.
  • Manage client interactions, including negotiations and senior management interfacing, maintaining a high standard of communication and collaboration.
  • Execute decision-making processes and apply domain knowledge with significant impacts on project outcomes and implementation.
  • Supervise and mentor team members, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • A minimum of five years of data management experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in providing technical and management leadership in IT-related projects.
  • Proven track record in planning, directing, and coordinating IT and data analytics programs.
  • Experience in financial management, methods, and staffing of IT projects.
  • Strong capabilities in client negotiations and senior management interactions.
  • Expert decision-making skills and domain knowledge with a critical impact on project success.
  • Previous experience in supervising and leading teams.
  • Must possess a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification by the Project Management Institute.
  • Must be USC and have the ability to obtain DHS EOD
