Space-based ISR Force Design Technical/Program Analyst

Job description

SSI is currently seeking a Space-based ISR Force Design Technical/Program Analyst in Chantilly, VA. The qualified applicant will provide local support to the Space Warfighting Analysis Center (SWAC), Multi-Domain Sensing Program (MDSP), Space-based Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance and Targeting (ISRT) Division with expertise in space-based ISRT technologies and program assessments. The applicant will support technology, manufacturing, software, schedule, and program maturity assessments across all classification levels. The applicant will also coordinate with the Non-Advocate Cost Assessment community with technology and program maturity estimates and risk items.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Assist SWAC ISRT Division Chief in assessing technology and system maturity assessments, distilling technical material, and crafting narrative for senior congressional, department, service, and interagency leadership

- Develop and communicate assessment for multiple concepts regarding technology readiness levels, manufacturing readiness levels, and program maturity.

- Develop technology roadmaps and technology maturation schedules in support of force design efforts.

- Assess technology insertion opportunities and capability impacts in coordination with force design analysis and modeling and simulation activities.

- Coordinate with the science and technology development community and develop recommendations for technology investments to maximize force design capabilities.

- Develop technology, manufacturing, and program maturity estimates for the NACA and force design integration efforts.

- Collaborate in internal division cross-team planning, coordination, and task execution situations involving the full spectrum of systems engineering and integration activities for a force design effort

- Coordinate efforts internally and externally with multiple agencies/organizations.

Required Qualifications:
    • Bachelors of science degree in engineering required, Masters of science degree in aerospace / electrical engineering or related is desired.
    • 5+ years in developing and communicating multi-disciplinary technical assessments to senior levels of leadership
    • 5+ years in the Science and Technology development field is required
    • Active TS/SCI CI Poly clearance
    • Significant technical understanding of Space-based ISR systems across joint, intelligence community, industry, international and/or other government organizations.
    • Demonstrated expertise in evaluating technology and system development efforts
    • Familiarity with classified networks and systems.
    • Ability to decompose and articulate thoughts in chart or narrative form, and to quickly develop technical, programmatic, and informational content in support of the Division Chief
    • Ability to clearly communicate directors/division chief's intent to other Division or SWAC personnel as well as to articulate and translate technical content into leadership level decision-making products
    • Strong Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word skills
