**Description**

The Wasserstrom Company is the leading Food Service Distributor in the nation. Established in 1902, we are a family owned company with our headquarters in Columbus, Ohio. We currently have an opening for a **Service Representative** in our Food Service Equipment Division in **Columbus, OH.** The Service Representative offers sales support for the sales representatives including administrative and customer service duties. Works as a liaison between the Company and customer.

**Job Duties and Responsibilities**

* Edits mailed-in purchase orders and process phone orders that are received on a daily basis

* Responds to customer issues in a timely manner

* Coordinates and follows through with the Purchasing Department to insure and expedite customer's requirements as related to special orders and contracts

?Writing special orders, as needed

?Follow-up with appropriate department to resolve credit issues, returns and POD's

?Assist with new bill-to set up

?Aid new clients and Customer Service in setting up new credit accounts and applying supplemental information for a new "ship to"

* Price quotations by gathering spec sheets and costs

* Sourcing new products

* Coordinating advertising efforts and maintaining mailing lists

* Preparing information to be sent to customers (i.e. catalogs, flyers, price lists and credit applications)

* Will serve as back-up to Account Manager in their absence, which includes: reviewing mail, preparation of quotes, job project, customer solicitation, project/customer involvement, reports and interception of phone calls

* Respond to Sales Representative and Management needs as required

**Qualifications and Education**

* A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

* Prior sales or customer service experience is preferred.

* Detail oriented

* Strong communications skills, both written and oral

* Efficient Multitasking skills

* Great customer service skills
