Qualifications
The Network Engineer shall possess a thorough understanding of network engineering to include wired and RF transmissions, mapping and surveying, configuration of access points, antennas and related equipment, cabling infrastructure to support WLAN systems, client wireless configurations, operations and troubleshooting
A minimum of three years of experience in wireless and network communications industry is required
DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level II or higher
CCNA Security
SSCP
CCNP Security
CISA
CISSP (or Associate)
Certification: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certificate or a Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certificate
An active DoD Secret security clearance is required to start
Must have experience with Location Based Services/Choke Points/Active/Passive & Semi-Passive RFID
Network survey/ deployment/support and physical infrastructure experience required
Project lead/management along with strong organizational skills required
Must have working knowledge of computer hardware/software fundamentals including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and Visio

Responsibilities
The Network Engineer shall design, plan, establish, and optimize networks and enterprise network architecture
This role shall develop network infrastructures and make recommendations on systems enhancements for optimization
The successful candidate will lead and supervise teams along with training and mentoring other engineers
Provide technical assessment of requirements and definition from conception through implementation
The position shall design and validate link performance, quality and reliability
Use measuring and diagnostic tools to test and adjust equipment
Create manuals and support documentation
Optimize existing network by adjusting network parameters, adding/deleting of neighbors and recommending possible solutions to hardware problems
Monitor and analyze statistical and drive test data to improve system performance
Apply propagation theory, cellular theory, RF engineering tools and antenna theory to choose device placement
This role is responsible for capacity planning, Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) frequency planning and frequency hopping by applying carrier/interference (C/I) ratio analysis
