About Us:

Fiber Network Services (FNS) is a communications contractor offering a full range of fiber optic cable network services. With Master Construction Agreements with Cox Communications, Comcast Cable, Crown Castle, Segra, Suddenlink, Windstream, and RCN in the States ofVirginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Vermont, New Jersey, New Hampshire, and in Washington D.C., we are a trusted resource for telecommunications cabling and maintaining high-speed internet connectivity via Fiber Optic and Coaxial systems.

About this position:

Fiber Network Services (FNS) is currently seeking a QuickBooks Administrator to join our team in Manassas, VA. As part of our team, you will be responsible for processing invoices, maintaining payables, and performing other duties within the accounting department.

Responsibilities and Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with QuickBooks accounting software.
  • Proficient in QuickBooks Online.
  • Strong in General Ledger to include transaction analysis, classification and working knowledge of the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers.
  • Ad hoc projects as assigned.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Familiarity with tax reporting and compliance requirements, including processing contractors' 1099s.
  • Familiarity with class coding in creating and updating profit and loss statements.
  • Ability to generate and analyze financial reports using QuickBooks software,
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reconciliation.
  • Proficiency in office tools and software including MS Word, Adobe, Excel, database applications, and email.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with others and work within a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong time-management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to be at work every day at 8 am, 7 am if possible.
  • Ability to work occasional and planned overtime.
  • Ability to pass a drug screening and background check
  • Ability to speak fluent English and read and understand technical instruction
  • Education: High School or G.E.D

Pay Rate: Hourly, $23-$30 p/hour, depending on the level of experience.

Hours/Week: Full-time position only, 40 hours per week.

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
