POSITION SUMMARY:
Skilled Labor is responsiblefor field operations on the project(s) assigned to achieve safe, quality, andprofitable projects completed in a timely manner. This position mustdemonstrate organizational and time management skills.
PRINCIPAL DUTIESAND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Safety
- Promotes Manhattan's culture of "Safety First"
- Project safety implementation and management in accordance with Manhattan's Safety Program
- Interacts with the Superintendent and Safety Manager to ensure a safe workplace
- Enforces Site Specific Safety Plans by enforcing Manhattan's rules; this includes your workers, other crews, and any trade on-site
Operational
- Be familiar with and follow Manhattan Construction Company Policies
- Assist equipment operators, carpenters, and other skilled laborers when necessary
- Operate and care for construction equipment and machines
- Prep construction sites by cleaning obstacles and hazards
- Follow instructions from supervisors
- Load or unload construction materials
- Placing, spreading, and vibrating concrete.
- Striping moving concrete formwork.
- Ready to learn from on-the-job training when necessary
- Perform site clean-up
- Knowledge of construction practices and terminology
- Demonstrates Integrity
- Displays a sense of urgency
- Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, AND PERSONALATTRIBUTES:

- Broad understanding of concrete construction experience

WORK CONDITIONS AND HOURS:
Conditions and hours
- Works on-site over rough terrain
- Requires overtime hours
- Often exposed to the elements
- Must be comfortable with travel on a need-to-need basis
- Must be able to lift 70 lbs.
- Some weekends are required
- Frequent activity of Standing, Kneeling, Walking, Climbing, Bending, reaching above Shoulders, Pushing, and Pulling
- Must be able to climb and work at heights above 6 feet
